I
grew up in the deep forests of Matabeleland North in the Nkayi district.
I got my primary school education in Nkayi and Bulawayo.
In Bulawayo I also studied for and completed my High school and
college education; and having spent many years under the oppressive
regime of Robert Mugabe, I felt that my only salvation was to seek
a safer habitat abroad.
In the year 2000, I made my way to Canada where I have since vigorously
engaged myself in the risky campaigns against oppression; for the
sake of my fellow African countrymen and women. I have been in constant
communication with a broad spectrum of political and human rights
organizations and individuals – all in a bid to restore democracy,
justice, peace, humanity, and the rule of law in my country (Zimbabwe);
a country which carries that which matters most to me – my
roots. I am dedicating the coming years of my life to this important
and crucial struggle for my homeland.
I will fight on and on, until democracy, justice and fairness prevail
in my homeland – and, ultimately, in the rest of Africa; where,
according to media and victims’ reports, crime is encouraged
to rear its ugly head, as long as the so-called leader kills the
‘right’ kind of people – predominantly the silenced
and fearful black African civilians – while our white African
brothers and sisters listen on, fearful as they are falsely accused
and framed for such crimes.
